This is one of the most basic and simple ones aimed at those who are
new to the internet. Please avoid such type of emails. Do not reply to
them for any reason.
What these people are trying to do is to
confirm that it is a real email id and once they know it is, they will
try and lure you into a trap where you will be asked to pay some money
so that they can send you your prize. And as
you may have already guessed, you never get your prize. You will not
even hear again from them once the scam is over. In fact, their network
is set in such a way that the main mastermind behind the whole plan is
RARELY caught, if ever.
